From the Desk of the Convener
Distinguish Guests Ladies and Gentlemen
Protocols
1. Igala Carnival is here again, and this is the seventh in the series marking another glorious moment
2. Beginning from the front row, the pavements, the stands I can see the arena packed full with fun seekers and holiday makers
3. It is a show of solidarity for our people ranked 7th in Nigeria as one among the most travelled ethnic group in Nigeria
4. This year we are seeing more colours and beauty from almost every corner at the stadium. All thanks to our partners whom have shown commitment towards identifying with us at a very critical moment. But we are here to enjoy and see new perspectives to life. We must celebrate and make merry in order to banish the ghost of the pangs of the short term suffering. It will go and life must move on.
5. Like Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says in his maiden broadcast " Our burdens may make us bend at times, but they shall not break us". We remain united despite the fact that tongue and teeth differs.
6. I hold everyone here in much higher esteem for attending and I am proud to say it gets better and better because of you
7. The idea behind each Carnivals is to promote tourism, Culture, lifestyle which is at the core of globalization.
8. Tourism is a machinery been deployed by government to educate, inform, employ and mobilize the general public on the need to harness its potentials.
9. We do not want to deviate from the norms. Our objective is to unite our people as one big family, to promote our cultural and traditional heritage, set an agenda for our youths, women and entertainers spread across our land.
10. It is practically designed to promote peace and unity of the various group that make up the Nigerian state.
11. The key message here is See, Enjoy, Buy and Take Away the best part of this Carnival which has come to stay.
THANK YOU.
